BLOG: Dole™ Fresh Blueberries Recall

Dole™ has issued a voluntary recall of it’s Fresh Blueberries due to possible cyclospora contamination.

Cyclospora infects the small intestine (bowel) and usually causes watery diarrhea, with frequent, sometimes explosive, bowel movements. Other common symptoms include loss of appetite, weight loss, stomach cramps/pain, bloating, increased gas, nausea, and fatigue. Vomiting, body aches, headache, fever, and other flu-like symptoms may be noted.

The impacted products were distributed in the United States and Canada. They were distributed in the U.S. in the states of Illinois, Maine, New York, and Wisconsin. The Canadian provinces impacted are Alberta and British Columbia.

Dole™ Fresh Blueberries are packaged in a variety of clamshell sizes. If your UPC code is listed below, you may want to discard of your blueberries immediately.
