BLOG: Wegmans and Giant Eagle Market RECALLs – Lemons, Oranges, and Onions, Oh my!

Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. announces a recall of bagged Valencia Oranges, bagged Lemons, along with select prepared foods items that included the affected lemons as ingredients, due to a possible contamination with Listeria. The affected products were sold in Wegmans stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and New York State. The affected items were sold between July 31 and August 7, 2020 with UPC codes:

  • Wegmans 4lb Bag Valencia Oranges – UPC: 7789052363
  • Wegmans 2lb Bag Lemons – UPC: 7789015917
  • Wegmans bulk lemons – UPC: 4033

Return any uneaten items to the place you purchased for a full refund.

Giant Eagle recalled all bulk and bagged red, yellow, and white onions sold since June 6, 2020 in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana and Maryland, along with select prepared foods items that included the affected onions as ingredients, due to a possible salmonella contamination.

Customers who have purchased the affected product should dispose of it and bring their qualifying receipt to their local Giant Market to receive a refund.
