Amy’s Kitchen has issued a voluntary recall of more than 15,000 cases of it’s Vegan Organic Rice Mac & Cheeze due to the potential of having trace amounts of milk.
Dole™ has issued a voluntary recall of it’s Fresh Blueberries due to possible cyclospora contamination.
Cyclospora infects the small intestine (bowel) and usually causes watery diarrhea, with frequent, sometimes explosive, bowel movements. Other common symptoms include loss of appetite, weight loss, stomach cramps/pain, bloating, increased gas, nausea, and fatigue. Vomiting, body aches, headache, fever, and other flu-like symptoms may be noted.
Banner Smoked Fish has issued a recall of various smoked fish products. The items were found to being processed under unsanitary conditions and may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Symptoms can include headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions in addition to fever and muscle aches… Infections during pregnancy can lead to miscarriage, stillbirth, premature delivery, or life-threatening infection of the newborn.
Cottonelle® has recalled their Fresh Feel Flushable Wet Wipes. During product testing, they noted that certain products shipped out could be contaminated with a bacterium. The recall is for specific lots of Cottonelle Flushable Wipes manufactured between February 7, 2020 and September 14, 2020 and sold in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.

The bacteria, Pluralibacter gergoviae (a.k.a. Enterobacter gergoviae) can cause various infections in humans and can present itself in cosmetic products as well as foods. This bacteria can also be antibiotic resistant, making treatment a bit more difficult for some people who are infected.
Complaints received by Cottonelle’s parent company, Kimberly-Clark, have been minor; Affected consumers have only reported irritation and sometimes infection. Those with a weakened immune system or have serious pre-existing conditions are most at risk.
