BLOG: Smoked Fish RECALL for 17 states

Banner Smoked Fish has issued a recall of various smoked fish products. The items were found to being processed under unsanitary conditions and may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Symptoms can include headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions in addition to fever and muscle aches… Infections during pregnancy can lead to miscarriage, stillbirth, premature delivery, or life-threatening infection of the newborn.

The products being recalled range from smoked salmon, lox, whitefish, and more. They were distributed in the U.S. in the states of New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Pennsylvania, California, Florida, Nebraska, Arizona, Massachusetts, Maryland, Virginia, Nevada, Oregon, Wisconsin, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
