  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon butter (or olive oil)
  • 4 cups assorted greens like kale, spinach, baby swiss chard (chopped if not baby greens)

RECIPE: YOU – On a Diet a.k.a The Dr. Oz diet

Planning & Preparation

A co-worker of mine is HUGE into fad diets. Does she do them? Yes. Does she ever complete them? NO! lol. The other day, she mentioned a very simple eating plan she saw on Dr. Oz’s (made famous on the Oprah show) tv show. It was based on his book “YOU: On a Diet”.

Of course.. I could just go pick up the book at the library, but queen procrastination is my name, and I have yet to get the book. She offered to write the simple plan down for me.

RECIPE: Beef Stroganoff

This recipe is my SwoleMate’s FAVORITE! It’s simple, yet juicy, & flavorful!


  •  12-16 oz ground beef
  • 1/2 carton sliced mushrooms
  • 2 T white onion, chopped
  • 1/2 can beef broth
  • 4 oz sour cream
  • (1 t each salt and pepper)
  • Whole Wheat Egg Noodles, Brown Rice, or any other healthy carb you prefer

RECIPE: Sticky Tamari Honey Chicken Breast

This recipe is for a clean & simple, spicy, yet, sweet & juicy chicken breast!


  • 2 tsp tamari (Gluten free soy sauce)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp finely chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1.25 to 1.50 lb of boneless skinless chicken breast
