I needed to be more active outside of the house. After the lockdown of 2020, I found comfort in my new normal; Having a break from the daily commute to work and social obligations, I needed a mental reset. I needed to hit the reset button on my metabolism, but activity level, and change the way I viewed the food I consumed. My goal is to be more active until my birthday (November 6th–Team Scorpio!) to see if I wanted to keep any of these lifestyle changes.

As a holiday weekend treat, we made Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Infamous Coconut Banana Pancakes. My SwoleMate saw this epic cheat meal recipe posted on The Rock’s Instagram account. He asked if we had all the ingredients on hand, and we did!

Weight loss is a personal journey for any one who is ready to undertake lifestyles changes. When you’re in the weight loss game, consistency is key, but there also may be things you need to keep your mind in the game. Some may find it difficult to reach weight loss goals without craving the foods they love. For this, some people institute Cheat Days.
What are Cheat Days?
Cheat days are a scheduled indulgence from your normal healthy eating plan. How you choose indulgence is up to you. The most popular type is one day a week or one day a month, you don’t follow the specific healthy eating plan that generally follow 80% of the time.
This fruit infused water was delicious & refreshing! I wasn’t too worried about the weight loss aspects this may provide. I just wanted something to help me not get too bored with my daily water intake. I try to drink a little more than a gallon of water a day, so this infusion helps me increase my water consumption.

FIBER
Try to get at least 15g-25g of fiber a day. Fiber will help with your digestion, blood sugar, & help you process high protein foods better! It will also make you feel fuller for longer! Add high fiber fruits & veggies to your diet! Apples, mangos, raspberries, strawberries, etc all have great fiber counts. For high fiber veggies, try broccoli, spinach, or brussel sprouts. Beans & Potatoes are also great sources of fiber. Fiber is a trackable item in MyFitnessPal so be sure to keep an eye on it! To supplement on lower carb days, I use a fiber gummy.

Day One, Monday, October 12th, 2009: The day actually went VERY well. Through my exercising with ChaLEAN Extreme, and this eating plan, I had a TON of energy. I didn’t even want the day to end; I had to force myself to go to sleep at a reasonable time. I was NEVER hungry. The only time I got a tummy grumble was when it was getting closer to lunch. I’ve just recently switched to eating at 1pm instead of 12 noon because it gives me less time to work after lunch LOL.
I absolutely adore my Heart Rate Monitor. Even though it’s an older model, it’s pretty great. It tracks your calories and fat burned. It keeps a log of your daily & weekly workout records.

Since starting ChaLEAN Extreme, I’m learning to change my mindless/unconscious habits. After listening to her motivational cd, it really made me aware of it!
I’m still on my struggle to get to my 175. I did Jillian Micheals, in June and got down to 190lbs. I was so happy. Then I went to Florida. And went buck wild! Came back and didn’t work out for a whole month! I went all the way back up to 210 lbs. I am now back to 195 and trying to get back to that 190. 🙂 Still trying to track my food and cardio – been doing better with that in Aug & Sept. So yep – I’m still around! 😀
